The Marketing Director will work closely with the founders and cross-functional teams to ensure marketing efforts align with platform capabilities, user experience, compliance requirements, and organizational values.
Responsibilities
- Marketing Strategy & Growth -
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with company goals and our core economic driver: campaigns that receive at least one donation.
- Define and cultivate target audiences, positioning GiveSendGo distinctly within the crowdfunding landscape.
- Ensure consistent, values-aligned messaging that encourages campaign creation, sharing, and long-term engagement.
- Campaign Creator Growth & Activation -
- Own the end-to-end growth and activation of Campaign Owners, including campaign creation, onboarding journeys, education, messaging, and success enablement.
- Partner with internal teams to improve activation milestones such as first share, first donation, and early campaign momentum.
- Continuously improve campaign success rates through insights, experimentation, and iteration.
- Brand Management -
- Oversee the management and protection of the GiveSendGo brand across all channels.
- Ensure consistency in voice, tone, values, and visual standards across marketing assets, communications, events, and partnerships.
- Balance growth initiatives with long-term brand trust and reputation.
- Digital Marketing -
- Lead digital marketing efforts including SEO, SEM, social media, email, and content marketing.
- Maintain a strong, consistent online presence that drives meaningful engagement and qualified campaign creation rather than vanity traffic.

- Ensure marketing strategies are aligned with platform capabilities, user experience, and regulatory considerations.
- Use marketing insights to inform product priorities and platform improvements.
- Public Relations, Crisis & Reputation Management -
- Lead public relations and media engagement efforts.
- Own crisis communication and reputation management strategies, ensuring calm, thoughtful, and values-aligned responses during periods of public scrutiny or controversy.
- Team Leadership -
- Build and lead a high-performing marketing team grounded in collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
- Foster a culture that values learning, experimentation, and mission alignment.
- Participate in leadership development and contribute as a senior leader within the organization.
- Budget & Operational Management -
- Create, manage, and report on the marketing budget.
- Ensure cost-effective campaigns, scalable systems, and sustainable ROI.
- Build processes, documentation, and workflows that support long-term growth.
- Strategic Partnerships, Alliances & Influencers -
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships, alliances, and influencers that expand platform reach and campaign success.
- Coordinate and execute event participation, sponsorships, and conferences as appropriate.
- Compliance & Ethics -
