Job Overview

We are seeking a Marketing Director to lead GiveSendGo’s marketing strategy with a clear focus on growing successful campaigns, strengthening long-term brand trust, and advancing our mission. This role is responsible not only for user acquisition, but for campaign creator growth, activation, and success — from first campaign creation through meaningful engagement and long-term platform loyalty. The Marketing Director will work closely with the founders and cross-functional teams to ensure marketing efforts align with platform capabilities, user experience, compliance requirements, and organizational values.

Responsibilities
  • Marketing Strategy & Growth -
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with company goals and our core economic driver: campaigns that receive at least one donation.
  • Define and cultivate target audiences, positioning GiveSendGo distinctly within the crowdfunding landscape.
  • Ensure consistent, values-aligned messaging that encourages campaign creation, sharing, and long-term engagement.
  • Campaign Creator Growth & Activation -
  • Own the end-to-end growth and activation of Campaign Owners, including campaign creation, onboarding journeys, education, messaging, and success enablement.
  • Partner with internal teams to improve activation milestones such as first share, first donation, and early campaign momentum.
  • Continuously improve campaign success rates through insights, experimentation, and iteration.
  • Brand Management -
  • Oversee the management and protection of the GiveSendGo brand across all channels.
  • Ensure consistency in voice, tone, values, and visual standards across marketing assets, communications, events, and partnerships.
  • Balance growth initiatives with long-term brand trust and reputation.
  • Digital Marketing -
  • Lead digital marketing efforts including SEO, SEM, social media, email, and content marketing.
  • Maintain a strong, consistent online presence that drives meaningful engagement and qualified campaign creation rather than vanity traffic.
  • Data-Driven Insights & Measurement
  • Utilize data, analytics, and KPIs to understand user behavior, campaign performance, and market trends.
  • Translate insights into actionable strategies that improve campaign activation, retention, and overall platform health.
  • Report regularly on performance, learnings, and strategic adjustments to founders and leadership
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration -
  • Partner closely with Product, Development, Customer Support, Compliance, and Data teams.
  • Ensure marketing strategies are aligned with platform capabilities, user experience, and regulatory considerations.
  • Use marketing insights to inform product priorities and platform improvements.
  • Public Relations, Crisis & Reputation Management -
  • Lead public relations and media engagement efforts.
  • Own crisis communication and reputation management strategies, ensuring calm, thoughtful, and values-aligned responses during periods of public scrutiny or controversy.
  • Team Leadership -
  • Build and lead a high-performing marketing team grounded in collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Foster a culture that values learning, experimentation, and mission alignment.
  • Participate in leadership development and contribute as a senior leader within the organization.
  • Budget & Operational Management -
  • Create, manage, and report on the marketing budget.
  • Ensure cost-effective campaigns, scalable systems, and sustainable ROI.
  • Build processes, documentation, and workflows that support long-term growth.
  • Strategic Partnerships, Alliances & Influencers -
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships, alliances, and influencers that expand platform reach and campaign success.
  • Coordinate and execute event participation, sponsorships, and conferences as appropriate.
  • Compliance & Ethics -
  • Ensure all marketing practices adhere to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards, particularly within crowdfunding and financial contexts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven experience in senior marketing leadership roles.
  • Deep knowledge of digital marketing and growth strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience leading teams, budgets, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for mission-driven work and social impact.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a founder-led organization, balancing autonomy with alignment.
Personal & Character Attributes
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate mission and values into clear, effective marketing direction.
  • Grounded decision-maker who balances growth objectives with brand trust, ethical responsibility, and long-term impact.
  • Data-informed leader who values measurement, learning, and disciplined execution over vanity metrics.
  • Adaptable and steady under pressure, able to lead through ambiguity, change, and public scrutiny.
  • Collaborative leader who builds trust across teams, develops people, and partners effectively in a founder-led organization.
  • The Marketing Director is expected to consistently demonstrate GiveSendGo’s Core Values through both leadership and execution:
