This fundraiser is shared on behalf of someone deeply loved and respected; Amber Benson. Asking for help has never been easy for Amber, but this season presents a real and urgent medical need that she cannot meet alone.

We invite you to read her story and consider standing with her as she seeks healing, restoration and renewed health.

AMBER’S STORY

Amber Benson is a devoted mother, a survivor, and a servant hearted advocate whose life reflects perseverance, faith, and quiet strength.

As a teenager and young wife, Amber endured years of severe domestic abuse. During that time, she suffered physical trauma that resulted in a fractured jaw, broken teeth, and lasting dental damage. Like many survivors, her focus was survival, protecting her children, finding safety and enduring day to day. Dental care could only be addressed during emergencies, as safety and stability always came first.

After escaping abuse, Amber and her children experienced homelessness and lived in a shelter. With determination and faith, she met every requirement placed before her, often taking multiple buses each day, to secure employment, child care, and eventually stable housing. Through God’s grace and her unwavering resolve, she rebuilt her life one faithful step at a time.

As Amber stabilized, she turned her lived experience into a calling. She completed formal education in human services, equipping herself to support individuals and families in crisis. For more than 15 years, she has worked in nonprofit organizations serving unhoused families and individuals facing instability. Her work is deeply personal, rooted in empathy, experience, and service.

The included photos reflect Amber’s life of service: volunteering with families and children, leading community projects, supporting food and housing programs, and standing beside others in need. These images tell a story of a woman who has consistently given of herself to serve others.

THE MEDICAL NEED

Today, Amber faces a health challenge she cannot overcome without help.

She currently experiences:

• Missing and deteriorating teeth with bone loss

• A broken dental bridge from prior emergency treatment

• Chronic pain and difficulty eating

• Emotional and physical strain affecting daily interactions and confidence

This is not a cosmetic issue. Amber requires comprehensive restorative dental care, including specialized treatment typically provided by a prosthodontist, to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent further health complications. Without treatment, she faces increasing pain, infection risk, and long term systemic health consequences.

Despite her faith and resilience, carrying this burden has been heavy, especially as her work requires daily engagement with others.

WHY $25,000 MATTERS

Amber needs full restorative care, not temporary fixes. She has pursued insurance, grants, and community resources, but they do not cover the scope of treatment required.

Funds raised will help provide:

• Diagnostic exams and imaging

• Tooth extractions and stabilization

• Replacement of missing teeth and reconstruction

• Prosthodontic and restorative dental procedures

• Relief from chronic pain and long term oral health stability

In addition to financial support, we are prayerfully seeking a prosthodontist or restorative dental specialist who may be willing to assist Amber through consultation, reduced cost care, a payment plan, or donated services.
